The 2011 version of our RS rods has received a few upgrades and cosmetic changes, to further improve on performance and functionality. The first thing you will notice, of course, is the color of the blank. A deep pearlescent white color gives the rods a marine look. LPXe RS V2 rods are made for fast and furious action on flats, coasts or off boats in both tropical and cold water environments. They’re primarily designed to excel in windy open waters, with high line-speeds, larger flies and big fish. This year’s new V2-generation sees a new cool looking design that is sure to stand out and make an impression.

Our 10 weight has undergone a slight change in actions and
now has a more even flex, making it a better casting rod and a joy to fish for
extended periods. Well suited for large Pike, medium size tarpon and other fast
swimmers in the ocean.

  Features

  Reel seats and guides are constructed from high quality materials, to last in tough saltwater conditions and the stripper guides are in chrome finish with Hard alloy inserts that match the blank color nicely.    The same goes for the reel seat - designed with the Guideline cut- away design, it compliments the distinctive look of the blank . A new, custom designed, hard EVA fighting butt adds comfort and style to the rod. RS version 2 continues the use of the same complex mix of different graphite's in varying modulus throughout the blank.     Moreover, the mixes of graphite vary with each individual model to produce custom actions. Strain rates vary from a standard 24msi up to a high 48msi, to take advantage of the best properties from each material. For this latest model of the RS, we have beefed up the lower section of the rods in the 10-12 weight range - an important upgrade that ill make it easier to put the heat on big fish, especially when fighting them from boats.
