A Used St. Croix Avid - AC86MHF2 - Medium Heavy Casting Rod

This St. Croix Avid - AC86MHF2 - Medium Heavy Casting Rod is used! This rod was traded in through the Hook Up Tackle Trade In Program (www.thehookuptackle.com). This rod is in very good condition. The rod does show some wear in terms of nicks and scratches (with the majority in the clear coat just forward of the cork, near the hook keeper). The wear that is associated with the rod comes from being fished and bounced around through the woods and along the rocks. Again, there are some nicks and scratches along the blank, however they do not affect the rods performance. The guides, the reel seat and the handle are in very good condition and function the way they should!

At a length of 8 Foot, 6 Inches and rated as a Medium Heavy Action, this rod is designed for casting to King Salmon from the break walls. The rod can also double as a heavier trolling rod for Kings and Steelhead, but this rod REALLY excels from the rocks! Rapala J-13's, 3/4oz. Rattl-Traps, KO Wobblers and Crocodile spoons are all perfect for this rod. 15lb. to 20lb Kings are no problem for this rod and Kings up to 25lbs. have been tamed with it. The amount of power and back bone in this rod is phenomenal!
